Not identified, but the reference to Brooks (1888) suggests that it may be his sister, Sarah Brooks (Maroske & Vaughan (2014)).

highly esteemed Professor, you will undoubtedly gladly make extracts and probably also willingly include the sketch, since indeed all is original . Already some years ago you published a little map by Mr Brooks.

In Brooks (1888), p. 27. No extract from a letter from Sarah Brooks nor from a letter by any other woman that was communicated by M has been found in Petermanns geographische Mitteilungen for 1894 or 1895.
