Dear Sir —
Dr Elliott forwarded me your letter last year
asking if I would try to get you some of the flowers you wanted — As the flowers were
dead then, I told him, I would try next year
if
on the Greenough
— Unfortunately I have been away for six weeks now & as it will be quite a fortnight
before I return In the meantime (as I am doubtful if any of the flowers will be alive
when I get back if they are I will willingly forward you some more) I am sending you
some very similar to those from on the Flats — I am so fond of flowers that I can
well understand others being so interested in them — Enclosed also in the parcel you
will find the roots of a, or bulbs I should have said The flower is dark blue & very
pretty, perhaps this will be new to you — I have mislaid your letter, so am addressing
this Botanical Gardens —
