[Baron von Müeller has made the suggestion to Sir John Forrest that an invitation be sent to the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science to hold its annual meeting for 1897 in Perth, under the auspices of the Western Australian Natural History Society. Sir John Forrest has cordially approved of the suggestion, and the invitation will be sent.

If an invitation was sent, it came to nothing. The Association met in Brisbane in 1895 and then not again until 1898, when it met in Sydney.
