Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Shepparton. June 11', Australasian (Melbourne), 16 June 1894, p. 7. The gift of seeds was not mentioned in a report of the meeting of the Shepparton (Vic) Agricultural Society held on 2 June 1894 (Shepparton advertiser, 6 June 1894, p. [2]). Assuming that the seeds were received after that meeting, the earliest likely date they were sent is 1 June.
[Baron von Mueller has forwarded a very valuable collection of seeds to the president of the Shepparton Agricultural Society. The collection includes some 70 varieties of seeds of plants, each of which has considerable industrial value, and which the Baron thinks should do well in this district.]

The news item continues: 'They will be judiciously distributed, and the results will be carefully noted. The poor prices obtained for staples has disposed farmers to give a fair trial to anything at all likely to pay.'
