Document is a printed sheet. The item is treated as a communication from Jackson on
the assumption that he would have sent a copy of the prospectus, once printed, to
each member of the Council, including M. To judge, however, from the location of the
copy found, this was not the copy sent to M; Jackson probably sent it to W. Honeybone,
Town Clerk of the City of Bendigo, with his letter of 12 November 1895 in which he set out his terms for serving as Analyst to the City, that accompanies
it in the file. The item itself is dated to June 1894 since advertisements announcing
that the School was "now open" at its premises at 358 Collins Street, Melbourne, began
appearing in newspapers in that month (see Argus, 1 June 1894, p. 1).
