Gartenflora
, vol. 43 (1894), pp. 472-3. It is dated to late June as the latest that it could
have been sent to be included in the second of two issues for August (Issues are not dated, but the structure is consistent
and this is the 16th of 24 issues for the year). The item is signed 'Tr', who has
not been identified.
[We owe some Australian printed matter to the kindness of our famous compatriot at
the antipodes, Baron Ferdinand von Muller in Melbourne. One is a number of the "Oueenscliff
Sentinal" with a report on the local flower show on 25 November 1893.... The second
printed item is a number of the "Victorian Naturalist", a small journal for southern
Australian naturalists....]

The article includes comments on the report of the flower show and summarizes an item
by M in the issue of the
Victorian Naturalist
which, from the names of species involved, must have been B93.04.02. The article
concludes:
[We also learn that Mr. von Müller has been elected honorary member and director by
a number of European, mostly French, societies. We would be all the more pleased,
as we know that our colleagues beyond the Vosges appreciate German thoroughness and
German knowledge, if they were not offered to them indirectly via Australia.]
The flower show was held on 18 November 1893 and reported in the
Queenscliff sentinel
on 25 November 1893, p. 1.
