Diese Wochen-Post, hochgeehrter Freund, wird Ihnen wieder Leguminosen bringen, das Letzte welches ich einstweilen aus dieser Ordnung hier ablassen kann. Einiges aus dieser Familie erhielten Sie während der letzten Monate. Es wird doch Hr Dr Taubert einige Hülfe sein, u auch Lücken im dortigen Königl Herbarium ausfüllen helfen.

Dann mache ich den Anfang mit Sendungen von Acanthaceen mit dieser Post und werde den Rest mit der nächsten Post senden. Es sind papuanische u polynesiche Arten, von denen ich nur die Unica zurück erbitte. Diese Acanthaceen sind nicht bearbeitet, da meine Zeit in dieser bedrängten Periode der austral. Colonien den ruralen Nutz-Zwecken hauptsächlich zugewendet sein muss. Stellen Sie gefälligst die Acanthaceen leihweise dem Monographen, Hr Dr Lindau zur Verfügung . Die verschiedenen Formen des Pollens, wie Radlkofer u Lindau solche nachgewiesen sind in dieser Ordnung wunderbar. Freilich kommen ja auch in Leguminosen (Acacien), Goodeniaceen ( ) u anderen Familien grosse Abweichungen vor.

Die Leguminosen sind bisher alle australisch, soweit solche Ihnen zugingen, u. bearbeitet.

This week's post, highly esteemed friend, will again bring you , the last that I can release from this order here for the time being. Some of this family you received during the last months. It will probably be of some help to Dr Taubert,

Paul Taubert had worked up the Leguminoseae, published as Taubert (1894); the first fascicle was issued in August 1891, with the last on 22 May 1894 (TL2), so M would not have known that it had been completed when this letter was written.

and also help to fill up gaps in the Royal Herbarium there.

Then I will make a beginning with shipments of with this mail and I will send the rest by the next post. They are Papuan and Polynesian species, of which I ask for only the unica back. These are not worked up, because my time in this hard-pressed period of the Austral. colonies must be mainly given to rural practical purposes. Kindly make them available on loan to the monographer Dr Lindau .

Gustav Lindau was working up the , published as LIndau (1895).

The various forms of pollen, as Radlkofer and Lindau have established, are wonderful in this Order. Of course great divergences occur also in ( e), ( ) and other families.

The are so far all Australian, as far as such reached you and are worked up.
