Your specimen of the yellow flowered Composite is mislaid, dear Mr Williamson, so that when I wanted to place it before the Field-Naturalists Club this day, I could not find it. Would you be so good to send me some few other specimens of this , particularly also some with ripe fruits . Your Amarantus,

More commonly Amaranthus.
also a weed new for Victoria, is undoubtedly A. retroflexus L, but I had some difficulty to identify it in so large a genus, as your specimen was fragmentary only with no well formed leaves on it.
