Herewith, dear Mr Macdonald, my little contribution to the fund of the orphans of
poor M. Meslee
though this almost exhausts [my] bid [...] Bank account. While I was at the meeting
Capt Pasco called, and not finding me, left the enclosed letter, offering £1 May I
advise to mention in your reply at once the particulars of subscriptions obtained
at the outset already. It will cheer our Sydney Colleagues.

With regardful remembrance
