24/2/94
By this weeks mail, dear Prof. De Candolle, I send you two small parcels of Polynesian , and by next weeks mail the Papuan of my collection shall follow.

See also M to C. de Candolle, 23 September 1893, and M to C. de Candolle, 1 March 1894.
What I now send is not carefully pre-examined by myself, but I believe all belong to that order.
Unfortunately the material is in most cases imperfect; still I hope, that you as the Monographer of the Order will find among the specimens some which will interest you. All those, which are numbered, you can keep for the herbarium D.C. but those, which are not numbered are unica , so that I would like to have fragments back of them. I shall be gratified, if you can soon elaborate these Polynesian and Papuan members of the order.
Let me hope, that you are happy and well.
With regardful remembrance
your
Ferd. von Mueller
