Letter dated to 1894 since its subject-matter is clearly connected with that of M to W. H. Archer, 11 April 1894 (in this edition as 94-04-11a).
This day, dear Chevalier Archer, an other Gentleman called on me concerning the parthenogenesis of . I have pointed out to him, after searching for the information on monoecious flowers occurring in that plant, that such is clearly recorded in De Candolle's prodromus already in 1866 by Prof Jean Mueller

J. Müller (1866), pp. 906-7.
I am eager now to see, what Baillon said in the Adansonia.
3
In Baillon (1866), p. 321, where Baillon transferred to Cladodes ilicifolia, he made no comment on parthenogenesis. It is mentioned, however, in Baillon (1866a).
Could I have the volumes again for referring to them. I can show you here J. Mueller's full and explicit note.
Regardfully your
