This morning, dear Mr Macdonald, I received a
most kind letter
from Hon. Winter Irving,
who only yesterday received my letter,
and he will gladly consult with me, when next in our Metropolis. Kindly tell your
friend, whom you brought at your last visit,
that I will
do anything
for him in my power as regards information, required by him, if he will reduce it
to written questions. If necessary fuller personal discussion can take place afterwards.
My cough is as yet but little abated, and my voice still very poor.
