Lindesay Shepherd (1858-1933); see notes to P. Shepherd to M, 19 January 1894.
on the Cole River about 75 miles south of Sydney. The flower is almost identical with G. longifolia but the leaves are much longer and are not serrated as are those of longifolia I will be glad if you will kindly let me know if you have met with this variety before and if so what is its name.
I have not had the pleasure of seeing you for a very long time, but it is probable I will pay a visit to Melbourne in the course of two or three months in which case I will do myself the great pleasure of paying you a visit. Wishing you the best Compliments of the Season
I remain
Dear Baron von Mueller,
Yours very sincerely
