Since some time I owe you a letter, dear Miss Henley, and I am not even sure, whether I acknowledged with due gratitude your kind sending again this spring to the show of native flowers I am thrown last month in deep mourning, which accounts also for my correspondence being much in arrear. I seem to have mislaid the only specimen of the native flower to which you refer, but will afford you information, when it turns up again.
