Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Correspondence', in a report of the meeting of the Marong Shire Council, Vic, held on 7 December 1893
(Bendigo advertiser, 8 December 1893, p. 4). The report continues: 'Received with thanks; the seed to be distributed as far as
possible amongst those desirous of trying it'.
The seeds were probably sent around the middle of
November
when seed was distributed to other councils
