The text given here is from 'Ordinary business, Correspondence' in the report of the monthly meeting of the Ararat Shire Council held on 1 December 1893 ( Ararat advertiser and chronicle for the Stawell and Wimmera districts . 5 December 1893, p. 3 ) . The seeds were probably sent around the middle of the month when seed was distributed to other councils ; see M to T. Easton , 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto. It is dated accordingly.
