Letter not found. The text given here is from Mildura irrigationist , 11 November 1893, p . [ 2 ] , col. f. Assuming that this weekly newspaper would report the availability of the seeds in the next available issu e, M's letter is dated to 6 November 1893 , a s the earliest likely date the seeds would have been sent. Seeds were also sent to the Mildura cultivator and announced in its issue of 11 November ( M to the Mildura cultivator , 6 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-06a) ) . Seeds were also distributed to other areas ; see M to T. Easton , 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto .
[We have received from Baron Von Mueller, Government Botanist, a few packets of seed of the sugar beet—the "White French " and the " White Improved." We will be pleased to supply a few of the seeds to any of the settlers who may desire to experiment with them.]
