Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Sugar beet' in a report of the meeting
of the Winchelsea Shire Council held on 1 December 1893 (Colac herald, 5 December 1893, p. 4).
The seeds were probably sent around the middle of the month, when seed was distributed
to other councils; see M to T. Easton, 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto.

Geelong advertiser, 2 December 1893, p. [4] included the additional comment that 'the distribution of
the seeds was left in the hands of the secretary'.
