Letter appears to be from early in M’s correspondence with Williamson, because M is giving Williamson basic instructions. Since M’s first surviving letter, agreeing to name Williamson's plants for him, was written in August 1893 (see M to H. Williamson, 31 August 1893), this item is tentatively dated to September of that year.
The Ac. Sophorae dear Mr Williamson, is the maritime shrubby sand-form of Ac. longifolia.
It will simplify matters in future and prevent possible mistakes, if you put the locality with each species on the label. Letters and parcels do not always come simultaneously.
Regardfully
your Ferd. von Mueller
