In my letter to you, dear Miss Walker,
I forgot to mention, that the Haloragis, named by our lamented friend, the Rev. Dr
Woolls, H. alata must be my H. monosperma. It has long white petals, according to
your excellent drawing, and no other Haloragis has such. But this white-flowered Haloragis
was hitherto only known from high mountains in East Gippsland, so that you found it
likely in New England. When you have quietly settled again at you own home, will you
kindly let me know, by looking on the Haloragis again, at what precise place you found
it; so that it may be recorded from that locality under your honored name in my works.
