Honoured Sir
Just a few lines to let you know that the books came safely to hand. Many thanks for the same. Works dealing with Australian Flora are rather scarce in this part of the world. A few days ago Mr L. Rodway asked for particulars re Senecio for the purpose I believe of writing out a description for submission to you. The plant grows in sand close to St Helen's Head's and is usually about 2 feet in height. Ray florets are recurved. The plant has a more or less odorous smell & is usually accompanied by another one of the same genus S. lautus.
I have forwarded particulars to Mr L. Rodway.
Yours faithfully
Wm. V. Fitzgerald
