Benennungen von Ihnen haben in die grossen Staats Sammlung hier ja stets bleibenden Werth! Ich freue mich, dass Sie doch auch eine kleine Belohnung in dem Auffinden der Neuheit " " gehabt haben.

von dem sandte welches aus der gewachsen war, es war sein Exemplar, welches ich Ihnen sandte, und es ist mir noch nicht möglich gewesen ein zweites für Prof Brefild in Münster zu erlangen.

Da wir nun aber wissen, wie nach diesem zu suchen sei, werden wohl bald mehr Exemplare in meine Hände kommen. Ich habe ein Exemplar Ihrer 10 grossen mycologischen Bände an die Stadt-Bibliothek von Melbourne geschenkt, und eins in meiner eignen Bibliothek complete auch die Algen-Bände.

Braucht Ihre Societa Veneto-Trentina etwas Besonderes von hier?

Soll ich künftig an Sie in Englischer Sprache schreiben. Ich schreibe wohl Französisch und Lateinisch, aber nicht so geläufig wie Deutsch und English. Ich dachte an dem Medic. Congress in Rome Theil zu nehmen, finde aber dass ich die dazu nothwendige Zeit nicht frei machen kann.

Names from you have indeed always lasting value in the large state collection here! I am pleased that you have also had a small reward in the discovery of the novelty .

Could you kindly state in one of the Italian journals that Professor Spencer of the Melbourne University sent the specimen of the that had grown from the . It was his specimen that I sent you, and it has not yet been possible for me to get a second for Professor Brefild in Münster.

However, since we now know how to look for this , more specimens will probably come into my hands soon. I have presented a copy of your 10 large mycological volumes to the State Library of Melbourne, and one in my own library also completes the algae volumes.

Saccardo (1882-1931)? The tenth volume was published in June 1892 (TL2). The reference to the algae volumes is probably to De Toni (1889-1924), vol. 2, part 2 published in 1892 (TL2). De Toni and Saccardo were both at Padua and corresponded with M.

Does your Societa Veneto-Trentina need anything in particular from here?

Shall I write to you in the English language in future? I write French and Latin well, but not so fluently as German and English. I thought of participating in the Medical Congress in Rome, but find that I cannot make the necessary time free for it.
