Almost certainly specimens of hydroids found on collections of seaweeds. M regularly provided such specimens; for example, MacGillivray (1895a), p. 138, reports M as providing a specimen of Amathia woodsii, but from Port Stephens, NSW; and Bale (1913), p. 133, in describing Sertularia muelleri from Encounter Bay acknowledges M as the donor. Always regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.
