I have to thank you heartily for yoou kind rememberance of me as evidenced by your gift of a copy of the very interesting Brochure on the Columbus Jubilee. It must have been the work of much research and does you infinite credit.

The inscription was partly coverd by a bookplate of the Ferguson Collection | National Library | Canberra. The editors are grateful to the collection and conservation staff of the National Library of Australia who removed that book plate to reveal the inscription:
