Algen Nordwest Australiens ab. Ich war aber irrig, als ich auf den Zettel Roebuck-Bay schrieb, es war von Nickol-Bay, also südlicher, dass diese kleine Collection kam, als erstes Resultat meiner Bitte an Mr H. F. Keep, im Nord-Westen Algenzu sammeln. Freilich ist die Küste dort arm an Algen, aber das Wenige, welches vorkommt ist dann ja um so interessanter, zumal da die Region fürs Sammeln von Algen eigentlich neu ist. Möge die neue annuelle Spanne Zeit, in die wir nun bald hinein-leben werden, sich als eine recht glückliche für Sie und die Ihrigen erweisen.

Some days ago I sent you, noble Sir, some algae of north-west Australia. However, I was mistaken as I wrote on the label Roebuck Bay, it was from Nickol Bay, thus more southerly that this small collection came from as first result of my request to Mr H. F. Keep to collect algae in the north-west. Admittedly the coast there is poor in algae, but the little that occurs is then certainly all the more interesting, especially since the region really is new for collecting of algae. May the new annual span of time in which we soon will live prove to be a very happy one for you and yours.
