Ihr vermeintliches , geehrter Herr Tepper, ist , Bentham. Ihr ist G. parvifolium, Benth. Ich habe wiederholt über diese Pflanzen an die W.A. Regierung auf deren Ersuchen rapportirt, und G. parvifolium als volksthümlich "Berry-poison" genannt, während eine der Boxpoison Pflanzen ist. Ich bin gern bereit, in solchen Fällen Auskunft zu geben; aber es wäre doch wohl nur gerecht für mein Departement , dass solche Benennungen als von mir kommend nach WA gingen.

Rathen Sie Ihrem Sohn in Beverley doch fort zu sammeln, namentlich ganz kleine Pflanze u wirkliche Wasser-Gewächse. Ich war 1877 nur eine ganz kürze Zeit in der Nachbarschaft von Beverley. Ich bezweifle, dass noch Neues unter den Roebuck-Bay Pfl. als unbenannt zurückblieb, es sei denn wegen unvollständiger Exemplare. Ich kann Ihrem Sohn direct Samen von Nutzpflanzen senden, falls ihm solche willkommen sind. Er könnte vielleicht seinen Nachfolger in Roebuck Bay veranlassen, das Sammeln da fortzusetzen.

Your supposed , esteemed Mr Tepper, is Bentham. Your is G. parvifolium Benth. I have repeatedly reported at their request to the W. A. Government on these plants and G. parvifolium, popularly named "Berry poison", whilst is one of the box poison plants. I am willingly prepared to give information in such cases, but still it would probably be only just for my department that such naming went to WA as coming from me .

Do advise your son in Beverley

WA. Tepper's son J. W. O. Tepper was with the WA post office and had previously collected for M at Roebuck Bay, WA; Beverley is in the wheat belt, south of York.

to continue collecting, especially quite small plants and genuine aquatic plants. In 1877 I was in the neighbourhood of Beverley only for a quite short time. I doubt that new things among the Roebuck Bay plants are still left unnamed, unless on account of incomplete specimens. I can send your son seeds of useful plants direct, if they are acceptable to him. He could perhaps arrange for his successor in Roebuck Bay to continue the collecting there.
