Dear Baron Mueller,
I send by this post fruits, leaves & (in a tin) a few fresh flowers of a from the Newcastle district. I am trying to get better specimens.
I believe the to be new, for I cannot place it under any of the s in the Flora.

You were good enough, some time ago, to say you would couple my name with yours in describing new species I may send you. I should like the new species (if you confirm my diagnosis), to be named after my assistant Mr R. T. Baker.
