Crouch was curator of the Portland Botanic Gardens; the text given here is from the report of the meeting of the Portland Borough Council held on 17 August 1892 (Portland guardian, 19 August 1892, p. [3]. See notes to M to D. McArthur, August 1892 (in this edition as 92-08-00g) for other councils that were sent seeds at this time.
[The Curator of the Gardens reported receipt of 42 packets of seeds from Baron Von Mueller and also cuttings and seeds from F. Mellon, of the Government perfume farm.
