I am very grateful to you, dear Mr Tyson, for the specimens of plants, just received from you. Probably your kind brothers helped collecting. I will write at once to the firms, mentioned by you. More postage stamps can be sent from time to time. As you ask, let me say that I like specimens in fruit (ripe) of all your Mulga- s and indeed of any other kinds of s growing near you, as these will aid me in finishing my large illustrated work on the Australian s.
I would not encourage you to grow any for fodder, as they are apt, when much fed on, to cause paralysis. I sent Mr Dale in Perth lately roots of the "wonder-grass" . If he succeeds in growing this marvellous pasture-grass, you might ask him for some rooted offshoots.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller
