M. le Ministre des Affaires Etrangers vient de me fait parvenir le pacquet des Graines
et l’herbier des plantes d’Australie que vous voulez bien offrir au Muséum d’Histoire
naturelle.
J’ai l’honneur de vous adresser mes vifs remerciements pour ce nouveau témoignage
de l’intérêt que vous portez à l’accroissement des richesses scientifiques de notre
grand Etablissement National.

Dear Baron
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has just passed on to me the packet of seeds and the
herbarium of Australian plants that you have kindly offered to the Museum of Natural
History.

f. 46 in the same letter-copy book is a copy of a letter from Milne-Edwards to the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, acknowledging receipt of M’s package and asking the Minister
to thank the Consul-General in Melbourne for his help in this matter.
I have the honour of expressing to you my lively thanks for this new evidence of the
interest you take in increasing the scientific riches of our great National Institution.
