Thanks for your suggestion Re book form of wood specimens . I presume pieces about the size of note paper by about 1 inch thick? what size would you suggest? I have a big order from my Depart, for bark and timber specimens three feet by one foot for Chicago

and may not have time to get up such a collection as you suggest, for Chicago, at any rate such a collection would always be very interesting and I will endeavour to make it perhaps a smaller size would be more convenient?
