Dear Sir
A Large Landowner at Portland and a valued Customer of ours writes and sends samples
of a plant and seed, which he calls a clover. We wrote that we would submit the same
to your scientific investigation, and let him know your opinion.
How it came to his Homestead he cannot say, but he
values
it very highly, as it is always green, and thrives well on poor land, and would go
in for seed of it if we could supply.
Awaiting your Kind reply with all particulars &c
We remain,
Ever yours,
Very Sincerely
Railton & Co.
P.S.
We post under separate Cover the gentlemans valued fodder plant-Sample.
