The Tecoma, brought by you, dear Mr. Raddenberry, is the variety velutina (de Candolle) of
Tecoma stans

Search for Tecoma stans in

(Jussieu). The Brachychiton with deciduous leaves is B. paradoxus (Schott), but a variety with paler flowers than on the plants seen by me in the Kimberley Country

1855 and 1856. The evergreen Brachychiton I now refer to B. bidwilli (Hooker) as a variety with five-lobed leaves, after I have now seen the flowers.
