, recorded as collected by M. Holtze near Port Darwin, in B92.03.02, p. 180, issued on 4 March 1892, and the exhibition of specimens of it 'from North Australia' by M at the meeting of the Field Naturalists' Club of Victoria on 8 February 1892. If this attribution and dating are correct, however, there would appear to have been some delay in the relevant specimens reaching M, because Holtze moved from Darwin to Adelaide in June 1891 to take up his new appointment as Director of the Adelaide Botanic Garden (his arrival being noted in Evening journal (Adelaide), 27 June 1891, p. 6), and must have collected the specimens before that.

This collecting number at MEL is dated 1891, but there is no contemporary date on the labels of the sheet (MEL 615533). However, K 827519 has the date 1891 in M's hand on his herbarium label.
