The Jurors placed on record the excellent manner in which the various woods of the Colonies were shown by Exhibitor.

M was awarded the certificate for his exhibit of wood samples at the Tasmanian Exhibition, Launceston. The award was reported and the jurors' commendation quoted in Launceston examiner, 23 February 1892, p. 4, and the certificate is dated to February 1892 on that basis. M visited the exhibition in early January on his way to the Hobart congress of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science; see notes to M to W. Thiselton-Dyer, 16 January 1892 (in this edition as 92-01-16a).
