T. R. Wilson Esqr,
Under Secretary.
Sir.
I have the honor to report, that after kind permission of the honorable the Chief
Secretary I shall start this afternoon for Adelaide, to consult personally with Sir
Thomas Elder about the early arrangements for Baron Nordenskiolds south-polar expedition
and Mr Linsays
present Central Australian Explorations. As this is merely a hurried tour in my position
as President of the Victorian Branch of the Royal geographic Society of Australia,
I shall return to the Gov. Botanist's office in the course of this week.
