I hasten to thank you for the interest you are taking in the Silva
which has been a very heavy undertaking for me, and I have asked the publishers to
put themselves in communication with the librarian of the public library at Melbourne
and of the Melbourne University with a view to these institutions becoming subscribers
to the work. You may be sure that I shall be very grateful for any assistance you
may be able to give us either in Melbourne or in other parts of Australia.
