date that it could have been written to have been reported at the meeting of the Society
held on 22 January 1892.
[Baron F. von Mueller of Melbourne, Australia, sends various seeds of plants he deems
likely to be able to succeed in the Sahara.]

The President, A. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, told the meeting that the seeds had, for the most part, been sent to the Governor
General of Algeria, and read a letter that he had sent to the Governor-General of
Algeria (see A. Geoffroy Saint Hilaire to J. Cambon, January 1892 (in this edition
as M92-01-00).
