The Duboisia, sent by you, dear Mr Gill, is the D. Hopwoodii, which differs from D. myoporoides in much narrower leaves and in some other respects; it is also of other geographic distibution, D. myoporoides belonging to humid forest regions of litoral tracts only.
As the medicinal properties are much like those of and , it is a highly dangerous plant. I should like to have some ripe berries, so that I could rear this species for therapeutic experiments freshly in some quantity
The Eucalyptus, of which you sent a branchlet in fruit, is not Euc. Leucoxylon. Could you procure also flowering specimens?
Regardfully your
Ferd von Mueller.
