Let me thank you, dear Dr Ramsay, for the attentiveness, shown concerning the Dendrolagus, the specimen now having come back safely into my hands. I had some misgivings about Mr French's idea, that it was a new sp.

But as you telegraphed, that the illustration in Lumholtz's work was quite exact, I could not help observing the difference of the color of the belly and the difference in the shape of the tail-end. We have beyond the few Papuan birds, sent to you for naming, only 4 others, which we have here identified with exactitude, and we have no duplicates.
