I have the honor to report that Mr. J. R. Tovey, who was appointed to the position
of Third Herbarium Assistant on 10th December last on probation, has acquitted himself
to my satisfaction during the past six months. I would therefore respectfully recommend,
that he be now permanently appointed. His Life-Insurance Policy for £100.- (maximum salary of present position £96.-) I beg to forward herewith.
