The file includes a letter from Wachtmeister to the Royal Geographical Society, 17 March 1892, from Srinagar, India, stating that he had just received the notice that he owed fees, and had been unaware that he had been elected. His Swedish bank paid a life composition fee of £28 on his behalf in April 1892.
