Would you be so kind, dear Dr Bride, to let me have a bound volume or the loose parts
of the Eucalyptography, as I can no longer purchase a
complete
copy at the Gov Printing Office, the work being "out of print".

An annotation on the file reveals that the following numbers of each of the Decades
were 'in stock': 7 of 1-3, 6 of 4, 7 of 5-7, 30 of 8-9 and 37 of 10. The following
numbers of each of the Decades of the Acacias were 'in stock': 18 of 1, none of 2,
18 of 3-4 and 21 of 5-13. A further note, evidently referring to M to T. Bride, 20 June 1891, says M 'asked that his request might be allowed to be withdrawn'. On 6 April 1892,
the trustees asked the library assistant Alfred Neville if he had ever received any
copies of Decade 2 of Acacias, to which he replied the next day, 'No'. On 8 April
1892, the trustees asked the Government Printer 'for the number usually placed at
the disposal of the Trustees'.
In reciprocity for this I beg to forward a large lot of the publications of the anthropol.
Society of Berlin, this being probably the only copy of this important serial in Australia.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller
Some more parts will come next week. Have you a set of the iconography of the Acacias
to spare?
