The Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society.
— Feel much touched honored Sir with the generous attention shown me by the President
and Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of N.S.W., in connecting me so prominently
with your important union.
I appreciate this unexpected honor all the more highly because I have but such slender
claims on your kindness, but let me however say, that it will at all times afford
me great pleasure to co-operate with the Society as far as I can. In the rapid progress
of knowledge all over the world within the later decennia the pharmaceutical profession
has eminently shared and especially so in the southern Colonies where, moreover, so
many subjects of novel enquiry are professionally before us. If, therefore, I can
in any way be of use to you and your honored colleagues, then command unhesitatingly
my services.
