I have just time before the mail closes to report that, I have now come back from accompanying Mr D. Lindsay & Dr Elliot

Respectively leader and an officer of the Elder Scientific Exploring Expedition, 1891-2.

part of way up the Railroad Line, so as to obtain their last wishes &c. They left Adelaide at 7.15 a.m. this morning in good health, & with the best wishes of many friends.

Everything possible has been obtained & done, to render complete success (so far as may be) assured —
