Dookie Agricultural College,
14th April, 1891.
The Council of Agricultural Education having authorized the establishment of an ARBORETUM,
to contain the principal native and foreign economic Timber Trees, for the purpose
of general reference, experimentation, and special education here, I beg the favor
of the opinion of Sir Baron Von Mueller, J. Ednie Brown Esq., Director General of
Forests, N.S.W., G. Perrin Esq., Conservator of Forests for Victoria, and D. Martin
Esq., Secretary for Agriculture. In doing this they will put their initials, in the
column assigned to each, against any variety
they consider would not likely succeed at Dookie, and add, in the spaces between
varieties,
any they think have been omitted.
