Dear Sir,
It is a very long time since I had the honour of hearing from you; and our young daughter
has sent you parcels some time ago which have not been acknowledged yet. She is again
sending by this post, a new wild lily found by Mr Holding on the Murray
which he has never met with before; this was on low ground that had been flooded;
a bulb with leaf & flower stalk is enclosed; also another plant is now sent which
Mr H. found on a high bare Sandbank, also had been flooded. We hope these specimens
may prove novelties & be welcome to you. And trusting you will cause acknowledgment
of their receipt to be forwarded to me, with kind regards
