Dear Sir,
It is a very long time since I had the honour of hearing from you; and our young daughter has sent you parcels some time ago which have not been acknowledged yet. She is again sending by this post, a new wild lily found by Mr Holding on the Murray

which he has never met with before; this was on low ground that had been flooded; a bulb with leaf & flower stalk is enclosed; also another plant is now sent which Mr H. found on a high bare Sandbank, also had been flooded. We hope these specimens may prove novelties & be welcome to you. And trusting you will cause acknowledgment of their receipt to be forwarded to me, with kind regards
