J. Cosmo Newbery Esq. C.M.G., B.Sc.,
Director of the technologic Museum &c
Please, dear Mr Newbery, convey to the trustees of the technologic Museum my best
thanks for the donation to the Gov. Herbarium here of particularly valuable dried
plants from Chili,
Timor, New Zealand and the Auckland-Islands. They largely consist of authentic specimens,
from which Gay's work on Chili-plants and Raoul's volume of New Zealand plants became
elaborated.
Such collections are of importance for reference, and will remain so for all future
times.
