Secretary's Department.
T. R. Wilson.
Chief Secretary's Office
12 March 1891.
Premier's Office
Melbourne 10/3/91
Sir,
The Premier desires that every facility may be granted to Members of the Public Service,
who are also Members of the Military Forces, to attend the Easter Encampments. The
Special days for which leave of absence will be required for such persons, when they
have military duties to perform, will be Wednesday and Thursday the 25th and 26th
instant, and Wednesday and Thursday the 1st and 2nd April.
The Premier asks, therefore, that in all cases, where compatible with the proper discharge
of the Public business, the necessary leave of absence may be granted to employés
in your Department, who are also in the Military Forces.
It is, however, to be distinctly understood that such leave of absence is for military
purposes only.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient servant,
W. McLean
for Secretary for Premier's Department.
The Under Secretary
