Die rückständigen Arbeiten in meinem Department seit meiner Reise nach Neu-Seeland, lieber Herr Holtze, haben es noch nicht erlaubt, viel an Ihren letzten Pflanzen zu thun, aber alles soll nach und nach fertig werden, soweit dies gewissenhaft möglich ist nach vorliegenden Materialien, die allerdings in manchen Fällen noch Ergänzung erfordern.

The backlogged work in my Department since my trip to New Zealand, dear Mr Holtze, has not yet permitted me to do much with your most recent plants, but by and by it will all be done, as far as is conscientiously possible with the available material which, however, requires some supplementation in some cases.
